"The Contrabass F# just arrived. I have played it for a very short time, and I am already delighted with it.
It is easy to blow, has a lovely mellow tone, is light weight for its size, half-holes well, gets all of
the cross-fingered and upper-register notes better than any very low flute that I have played, and, best of
all, the reach isn't too long for my little (5'1") self and the holes aren't too big for my itty bitty (ring size 3 3/4) fingers!
It is also great not to have to mess with a bird. I love that I can play for quite a while without watering out!
The wood is as beautiful as the sound. It doesn't need decoration -- it is beautiful the way Nature (and you) made it.
